November 3, 2023 - Wind Down with Yoga Nidra with Alyse Romano
Yoga Nidra workshop
November 3rd, 2023
8 pm – 9:30 pm
Yoga Nidra in Sanskrit means “yogic sleep” or “awakened sleep”. It is a meditative practice of conscious relaxation, surrender, and non-doing. Yoga Nidra requires no physical efforting in the body, all you need to do is get comfortable and follow the sound of the facilitators voice to take your journey deep into your body.
Practicing Yoga Nidra has the power to bring us to the liminal space between wakefulness and sleep. Resting in this space can help with:
-improving quality of sleep
-dream work
-integrating life experiences & practices
-increase body awareness
-increase creative flow
-relaxing body & nervous system
This 90 minute practice will take you through a gentle Yoga flow, restorative postures, and Savasana with a guided Yoga Nidra journey. Bring your yoga mat and water. Optional additional items to bring:
-comfort items from your home like a crystal you like to meditate with, your favorite eye pillow, or socks to keep your feet warm
-journal for writing down your experience afterwards
No prior experience necessary.
November 4, 2023 - Parent-Child Yoga with Krassi Harwell (NEW DATE)
November 4, 2023 - All Souls Restorative Yoga Sound Healing Immersion with Jennifer Jones Schroeder and Anaghan Jaire Vieira
November 3, 2023
6:00 pm – 7:30 pm
Join Jennifer and Jaire as we move into the dark days of Winter, cycling with the seasons to honor ancient Earth based practices through our Restorative Yoga Sound Healing Community at YogaSource. As with most modern seasonal celebrations, it’s origins are steeped in thousands of years of human experience, and most of our ancestors participated in similar spiritual rituals, no matter our heritage. Known throughout the world, then and now, as Halloween, Samhain, All Saints, Day of the Dead, All Souls and more, we join the company of those who came before us to move intentionally into this time of hibernation and stillness. In particular, we honor those who came before us, on whose shoulders we now stand. We honor those with whom we now share the journey, in our families, communities, and all who now inhabit Planet Earth. And we plant the seeds of peace, harmony, and hope for those who are to follow us in this caravan of living on this beautiful Sacred Earth Temple. Because all beings in the world are connected.
Please bring your own props: mats, bolsters, blocks, blankets, and eye pillows. It is very easy to modify with a couple pillows in a pillowcase, a hand towel, beach towel, and books.
