After a series of Snowboarding-related injuries combined with reckless training left Kiersten in constant and severe pain, she began studying Yoga as a form of rehabilitation. Immediately, her physical torment diminished, and — as an unexpected bonus — she discovered unparalleled mental focus. Now, Kiersten seeks to share the benefits of this practice. Expect all-levels alignment- and core-centric sequences delivered with more than occasional humor.
Kiersten is a certified 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher (300HR with Dylan Werner of One Movement Yoga; 300HR with Briohny Smyth and Dice Iida-Klein of Bryce Yoga; 200HR with Linda McGrath of YogaSource Los Gatos). In addition, Kiersten is certified in Anatomy Trains Modules I and II (with a focus on myofascial anatomy and functional movement), and has trained in Hot Pilates with Gabriella Walters. Kiersten attends multiple workshops each year to deepen her Yoga studies. She holds a PhD from Stanford University (2014). @kierstenjakobsen
