Catherine Lucky found yoga in 2009 as a way of healing and instantly connected with both the mental and physical challenge. Wanting to deepen her practice, she completed her 200 HR YTT with YogaWorks in 2014. She also trained in barre and sculpt with Tammy Stokes in 2015. She is currently completing her 300 HR YTT with Briohny Smyth and Matthieu Boldron. Catherine began teaching both yoga and fitness classes in 2015, and through teaching has found growth, inspiration, connection to community, and the most rewarding avenue of aligning with something greater than herself. Yoga allows her to tune into the present moment and find an awakening within. She hopes to share the joy of yoga and movement through classes that are uplifting, encouraging, and inviting. She aims to empower her students with mindful movement that makes each student feel alive and present by cultivating breath awareness, engaged alignment, and a sense of discovery.
She is also an artist with a Master of Fine Arts who works primarily with drawing, printmaking, and papermaking. Besides her love of art, yoga, and barre, she likes to spend time in nature, eat fresh, home-cooked food, travel, read, and journal. She seeks to celebrate simple joys and live in tune with the rhythms of the universe.
